June 2009 – Rocky Mountain Power has established a wholly owned subsidiary called Prairie WindFields Corporation.  The company’s initial focus is to develop utility scale wind energy projects in Saskatchewan and it has two prospective wind farm locations currently under review.  Southern Saskatchewan has one of Canada’s best wind resources and this renewable energy potential represents a significant opportunity for Rock Mountain Power.  Prairie WindFields is Rocky Mountain Power’s second renewable energy project company.
