Project Portfolio

North America's best renewable energy resources are generally located in the most sparsely populated areas. As a result, these regions have more renewable energy potential than can ever be consumed locally - even with 100% of the local electrical load converted to renewable energy.  In addition, most renewable energy is intermittent - wind power is only produced when the wind blows, and solar power is only produced when the sun shines.

Each RMP project is designed to efficiently gather intermittent renewable energy at the (remote) source, find a way to integrate it with other energy sources, and effectively market and deliver firm renewable energy to large target power markets. RMP works with renewable energy generators across North America to develop a transmission infrastructure to enable the further development of renewable energy and delivery of clean reliable energy to high-demand markets.

The RMP project portfolio currently consists of the following projects:

Wind Spirit Project (WSP)

Prairie Winds Project (PWP)

Saskatchewan-Alberta Tie Line Project (SATL)

Qu' Appelle Dam Hydro Project (QDHP)
